Paul Simon’s Back, Baby!

Way back in 2018, Paul Simon announced that he was stepping back from live performance, but today he's pulling the jersey down from the rafters and returning to the stage.

Simon made a surprise appearance on the SNL50 special, delivering a heartfelt rendition of "Homeward Bound" alongside Sabrina Carpenter, natch. Fans and critics alike couldn't help but wonder if this was a prelude to more performances, but given Simon's age—he's now 83—and his ongoing struggles with hearing loss (including experimental treatments involving zebrafish), the possibility of a major tour felt less likely. It looks like that performance was just a teaser for his upcoming run of shows.

The upcoming “A Quiet Celebration” tour is set to support his latest album, "Seven Psalms," an absolutely heartbreaking record from one of our finest lyricists. Fans can expect not only new material but also the classics that have defined generations. Accompanied by his wife Edie Brickell and a 10-piece backing band who we're guessing is made up of absolute killers, Simon will be performing in an array of intimate venues, including multiple-night stands at New York’s iconic Beacon Theatre and LA’s Disney Hall.

If you thought you missed your chance to see this national treasure live, now is the moment to secure your tickets. Simon's return to the stage is more than just a concert series; it’s a celebration of a career that has spanned over six decades, impacting culture at large in ways that we continue to untangle.

Mark your calendars and get ready for what promises to be a truly unforgettable experience. Check out the tour dates below, along with a trailer for the whole shebang. It seems that the road ahead for Paul Simon is anything but quiet.
