GTA 6 Image Posted In Worst Leak Of All Time

It feels like we’ve been waiting on GTA 6 forever, so much so that the leaks are getting weeeeeird. On January 1, a since-deleted photo of Grand Theft Auto 6 running on a PlayStation 5 development kit were first shared to the r/GTA6 subreddit. The poster claimed to have received the image from someone who “worked at the Rockstar office for a few months” in mid-2021. 

It’s not clear what’s happening in the image, which shows GTA 6 character Lucia in a vaguely urban environment. Two short videos were also included that somehow show even less than the photo. There is some legitimacy to the story, as Eurogamer states that the windows and trees in the leak appear similar to those of the Rockstar Games building in San Diego, California.

The leaker said of their source in a follow up post on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours:

He is super far from Rockstar now, doesn’t work there or in any related field. I’m not worried, but I’ll probably delete the post soon enough. I don’t need the likes but I had to get it out there.

The strangest thing about this “leak” (f that’s what we’re calling it) is that we’ve already seen gameplay, so why put your job in danger to take a blurry pic? Clout? I guess? Hopefully Rockstar’s legal team is as laissez faire about the whole thing.
