Los Campesinos! Score First UK Top 40 Album With DIY Release All Hell

Last week, UK indie juggernauts Los Campesinos! released their staggering seventh album All Hell, and today it’s been announced that the album has landed at #14 on the UK Album charts. This makes All Hell the only independently produced and released album to be in the Top 40.

Today, the band posted a spreadsheet of their marketing costs, and every other artist in the Top 40 should be reaching out to their representation to see just what all those big budgets are for.

It doesn’t hurt that Los Campesinos! have been dutifully plugging away for 18 years, but this is a monumental success for independent artists around the world no matter how you slice it. Cheers, lads!
